About Me

I am a lifelong learner and creative problem-solving enthusiast from Atlanta, Georgia. I'm a Philosophy and Political Science double major at Agnes Scott College, where I also serve as a tutor, course assistant, and Digital Media Chair of the Center for Writing and Speaking (CWS). My work at the CWS has given me many opportunities to help my peers build lifelong written and oral communication skills, an endeavor I try to continue through training other students in public speaking and political debate as President of our Model United Nations team. I'm also the Latin tutor for the Agnes Scott Department of Classics, and I lead our chapter of Eta Sigma Phi, the classics honor society. Recently, I worked as the Latin America & Caribbean Intern at CARE USA, building on my prior experience as the Americas Government Relations/Advocacy Intern at Amnesty International USA. In the future, I hope to make a positive impact through human rights advocacy work on issues in Latin America and the Caribbean. In my free time, I make music, hike, and open far more books and articles on ethics and human rights, political movements in Latin America, the Frankfurt School, and Philosophy of Language than I could ever possibly read. When I can, I also love learning more about topics from postcolonial literature and linguistic pragmatics to sustainable development, mathematics, and typography...and I firmly believe that pieces of wisdom from diverse disciplines can intersect to inform a better mode of interacting with my local and global communities.
