I am enrolled in my final year at Agnes Scott College, an undergraduate women’s liberal arts institution located in Decatur, Georgia. Agnes Scott College prides itself on educating women to think deeply, live honorably, and engage the intellectual and social challenges of their times.

Agnes Scott College is ranked No. 1 in the country among national liberal arts colleges on the Most Innovative Schools list in U.S. News & World Report’s 2019 edition of Best Colleges

Agnes Scott College’s distinctive program SUMMIT launched during my first semester, Fall of 2015. SUMMIT is an innovative reframing of liberal arts education focusing on cultivating leaders and a global scope.

As part of the inaugural class of SUMMIT I completed a core curriculum focused on global learning and leadership development. Some highlights of this curriculum were my week-long faculty-led global study tour in Panama as well as the opportunity to earn my Global Learning Specialization.

This emphasis on leadership and global learning cultivated my creative approach to problem solving and ultimately provided the foundation for my women’s studies major, English minor, and business minor.
