Agnes Scott College’s Global Learning specialization is part of its Summit program, which cultivates students’ leadership abilities through experiential learning. The Global Specialization program is designed to provide students with experiential learning opportunities related to global communication, leadership, and innovation.
To earn my Global Learning Specialization, I completed specific coursework on international issues affecting women, a multi-week study tour to Ireland, and a team-based problem-solving challenge.
These diverse learning experiences helped me to cultivate my critical thinking, collaboration, and adaptability skills. I learned how to analyze, appreciate, and overcome cultural differences. Through pursuing my global learning specialization, I developed the ability to connect and empathize with people from different backgrounds in order to work toward common goals.
