I have held my position as captain on the college softball team for the past two years will continue this leadership position into my senior year. This position is nothing new to me because I was captain of my high school softball team for three years as well. Although, my college team and my high school team had very different challenges. The challenge with my high school team was the lack of skill and effort while with my college team people were skilled, they were also negative and rude to each other. Through these challenges, I have developed my interpersonal skills and have learned how to understand what motivates as well as hinders a team from being their best. I’ve learned from those challenges how to preserve when faced with adversity and how to make the best of a bad situation.
